“Low EMF non-toxic materials” and “the only infrared sauna with science-backed wellness programs” remain not independently verified. The latter combines a comparative superlative with multiple health outcomes and requires a clear mapping between each program, wavelength, dose and appropriate clinical evidence. Indoor products are not designed for unprotected outdoor placement.

Return fees on a cancelled order. Sunlighten’s returns policy says all cancelled or returned goods are subject to a 3% administration fee, storage and re-routing costs, a A$499 restocking fee for each Signature, mPulse or Amplify sauna (A$199 for a Solo, A$49 for a SoloPad), and all shipping costs. It may hold deposits until returned goods are inspected. Your rights for faulty goods under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
Warranty: 5 years, 1 year on labour and software. The 2026 Australia and New Zealand warranty gives 5 years on cabin, heaters and controls, but 1 year on labour, glass and software. A cover is needed for outdoor use. For a sauna run from a tablet, ask what happens to software support after year one.
Health and “only” claims. The home page says mPulse is “The only infrared sauna with science-backed wellness programs” and lists goals including weight loss, “Reduce Fat/Cellulite”, immunity and gut health. We found no source on the page for the “only” claim or for each outcome. In our view, treat these as marketing and talk to your doctor about health goals.
Company records and reviews. The local seller is SUNLIGHT SAUNAS PTY LTD (ABR record), ABN from 18 Sep 2003, South Melbourne VIC 3205, which fits its 20 years in market. The 4.6 from about 4,100 Trustpilot reviews is for the US company Sunlighten, Inc., not the Australian distributor. We found no ACCC recall and no ASIC insolvency notice.
In fairness: the Australian distributor has traded for over 20 years, has a South Melbourne showroom, publishes a clear dated warranty table, and Sunlighten publishes EMF test information. Its patented heaters are made by an established international maker.
