What we could verify
The official Australian site identifies the distributor, available product families, support availability and a published lifetime residential warranty description. The warranty page says residential coverage extends across heaters, controls, electrical, wood and included audio, while commercial coverage is described as five years. These are published terms and should still be read with the complete exclusions.
Questions and watch-outs (2 Nov 2026)
The site states that all saunas use FSC-certified timber, are VOC-free and use non-toxic glues and varnishes, but the reviewed material did not identify the certificate holder and scope or a current product-specific VOC report. Ultra-low EMF and ELF statements also require current third-party model-level reports and full measurement conditions. Enquiry pricing makes like-for-like cost comparison harder.

Three different warranty headlines. The Clearlight site says every model is “covered by a limited lifetime warranty*”, elsewhere says “25-year warranty Cabin, heaters and electronics”, and its terms define the warranty period for Clearlight saunas as five (5) years for some parts, with the cabin exterior on outdoor models at 5 years and only with a Clearlight cover fitted. The site also says the maker “is not obligated to provide parts for saunas older than 7 years”. Ask for the warranty schedule that applies to your exact model, in writing.
“30-Day Risk-Free” returns with fees. The refund policy calls its offer a “30-Day Risk-Free Return Policy” (30 business days), but also says the refund “may have fees deducted for returning and restocking”, and custom or non-standard models are non-refundable. In our view, “risk-free” sits awkwardly with possible deductions. Ask what the fees would be.
Countdown offers and award wording. On 2 Nov 2026 the site showed “Free backrest ends in 0 Days 09 Hours”, “Up to 30% off” and the page title “Voted Best Home Infrared Sauna 10 Years In A Row”. We found no named source for the award. Clearlight also says its EMF and ELF levels “are perhaps the lowest on the market”.
Reviews and records. ProductReview showed 2.7 from 9 reviews (44% positive), against 4.97 from 305 reviews collected on Clearlight’s own site. Complaints on ProductReview mention outdoor weatherproofing, heating and delivery. The seller is CLEARLIGHT SAUNAS AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED (ABR record), ABN from 24 Jan 2015, NSW 2483. The “since 1997” claim refers to the US parent brand. We found no ACCC recall and no ASIC insolvency notice.
In fairness: Clearlight is a long running international brand with an Australian company since 2015, publishes detailed warranty terms and EMF measurement pages, and gives long cover on heaters and electronics. Its terms also say plainly that the saunas are not medical devices.
Deposit and delivery terms (checked 2 Nov 2026)
Clearlight Australia’s home page says delivery takes four to seven days “if the sauna is in stock. If it’s back ordered the waiting time can be up to 8 weeks.” Its promotional terms refer to “full payment or approved deposit”; the deposit percentage was not stated.
